The article List of radiata animal orders has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

'Radiata' is not comparable to 'Bilateria' as it is not a clade, is obsolete, and historically was defined in different ways at different times, so 'formerly classified as Radiata' gives an undefinable list which cannot correctly be combined with modern classes, subclasses, and orders, it's totally misleading.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Hi RichardWeiss, thanks for letting me know you intend to address the issues. However, I do not believe they are addressable, for the reasons given in the quote above. That makes clear that in my view the article is irreparable, since it combines a vague, multiply-defined historical grouping, known for a century to be unsatisfactory, with modern taxa that are not compatible with the obsolete historical group(s). The article therefore has no definable scope, and is constructed on unsound principles. Rather than rush straight to AfD, however, I'd be curious to know how you intend to fix the article? Sorry to trouble you again. I've added a table of alternative definitions to Radiata, which I think says pretty much all that is needed on the topic. The varying definitions at phylum level shown in the table illustrate exactly why I think the idea of creating a list at (modern) order level to be a non-starter. Hi RichardWeiss, I noticed that you in good faith reverted a number of edits by an IP who seemed to be wikihounding ScienceLad123. Thanks for that, as it does look like the IP's reverts were out of line. However, it turns out that ScienceLad123 is actually a sock of long-term abusive editor Shingling334, who is blocked from editing Wikipedia, whether their edits are helpful or not. I wanted to let you know that I will be reverting them again on that basis. In particular, the change of the photos in the Istanbul Airport article has already been made several times, all by multiple socks of the same blocked user, so I'd ask you not to reinstate it. MoS does not outright prohibit linking in quotes, it says to use them conservatively, and "link only to targets that correspond to the meaning clearly intended by the quote's author". You might want to read the close of the prior request which said the close was "without prejudice to speedy renomination" and which advises to "just assume good faith and not throw shade at each other". I have never seen a less well-suited candidate for PRODing in 16 years on the project but I see someone else agreed with me and removed the PROD, which I certainly would have done if the other editor hadn't. Please learn to distinguish between an unnotable and an unref'd article and don't treat them the same. Hi Richard, please see Peter Hitchens talk page. The issue here is that his views cannot be exposed (for example, his anti-vaxxer pieces or his pieces apposing healh measures to protect the public from COVID) without citing primary sources. The result of not allowing the page to cite his views is Wikipedia will present an incomplete account of his views, conveniently enabling him to hide what he has written about science and medicine in the past. Hitchens has nothing to do with this article (he's blocked) so hardly convenient for him. But we aren't trying to expose him either. The article needs to include his complete views which have 3rd -party sources. We mustn't just list his beliefs which aren't verified by 3rd-party sources because such views do not pass our notability threshold. We provide a full list of his views covered in reliable 3rd-party sources, which is what we should be doing. And anyone can add new views with 3rd-party sources. 1) You may think his account or address blocked, but obviously cannot be sure he is not active. It seems odd that you would state this with such certainty, as if you have some personal knowledge of the subject. I personally doubt he is inactive (and one of the admins who is suspiciously interested in this one page showed some distinctive similarities to Peter's idiosyncracies of prose), but let us for the sake of focusing on the main point assume you are right, and neither he nor proxies are doing anything to the page, and it is independent third parties who are vigorously cultivating his page with uncited details about his private life and describing him as "staunchly principled" (as his intro read, until yesterday). 2) What I have appealed to you to recognise is that the *existence* of something can just be pointed to. To show someone's article in the Daily Mail does *not* endorse the Daily Mail's credibility. It just observes the Daily Mail's and the article's existence. However, even if we have a ban on even showing that the Daily Mail or its articles exist, there are more problems with the logic of your removal. 3) The same standards are not being applies to other sections. The COVID section has no citations in the first two paragraphs, yet you let them stand. The later paragraphs include citations such as unknown outlets (Joe, with a fraction of the readership of the Daily Mail) and YouTube (yet a registered GP's letter in the BMJ is 'user generated'?). What do you mean I think? User:Clockback is blocked, this is public knowledge. And what do you mean, I can't be sure he is not active? If you have any evidence that he is active ask for a sock check, otherwise stay quiet because you are digging yourself in a hole with bizarre claims that violate our BLP and assume good faith policies. I couldn't care less what your suspicious mind thinks but unless you keep your suspicions to yourself or make a sock check you are in danger of being reported and blocked yourself. If you think Hitchens is an admin that would make a sock check more necessary than ever but I doubt you believe your own rhetoric. I also suggest you get a grip on our policies which you clearly haven't understood based on this statement. The credibility of the Mail is not a subject of any interest either to me or to the article in question. There are no problems with the logic of my removal unless you choose to ignore, or fail to understand, how things work here. We demand 3rd-party sources and not reliance on primary sources for every article, particularly in bios of living people. You better believe I am acting in good faith and simply saying what I have been saying for years concerning this article which is that the notability threshold for Hitchens' beliefs is 3rd-party sources as that is what Wikipedia requires, their threshold not my personal invention. YouTube is certainly user-generated and I have no issues with the Mail (some do) my issue is that these are Hitchens' views and thus primary sources and thus do not demonstrate notability. I noticed that the Rastafari article has made it to FA, which got me thinking about the fight to not call that article Rastafarianism. Which lead me back to the archives of that talk page. I'm really glad you started that campaign, long before our policies recognised the need to treat articles about people with compassion, especially people in the developing world. That we were more than just items of study. I really appreciate the work you did to drive that change. And given the power of Wikipedia in shaping discourse these days, I think it's important it happened when it did. So a belated "thank you!"
