罗纳德·约翰·约翰斯顿

罗纳德·约翰·约翰斯顿（英語：Ronald John Johnston，常译R·J·约翰斯顿，1940年3月30日—[1]）生于英格兰斯温顿[2]，英国人文地理学家，大英帝国勋章获得者，英国社会科学院院士，英国国家学术院院士，以其对于地理学理论（特别是地理学的历史及其性质）、城市社会地理学和选举地理学的贡献而著名。约翰斯顿在批判社会和政治主题中集定性研究方法之大成。[2]约翰斯顿也是一位罕见的多产学者：截止2009年12月，他撰写或合作撰写了多达50本专著和800篇论文，主编或合作编辑了40多本专著（以翻译版和修订版分开计算）。[3][4]同时他还是《人文地理学词典》前四版的主编。
