塔兰语是秘鲁皮乌拉地区一种已灭绝、记录稀少的语言。已有记录不足以确定其系属分类。与相邻塞丘拉语的联系参见塞丘拉–卡塔考语系。
《Glottolog》和Jolkesky (2016)中，卡塔考语族卡塔考语和科兰语被列为塔兰语方言。[2]

约翰·奥尔登·梅森 (1950)列举了Apichiquí、Cancebí、Charapoto、Pichote、Pichoasac、Pichunsi、Manabí、Jarahusa和Jipijapa等方言。[3]
Rivet (1924)列举了“塔兰语组”下Manta、Huancavilca、Puna等语言。[4]:639–712
