Hello!

It's been brought to my attention that my Wikipedia Athlete page "Barry Nobles" was merged to Caroline Buchanan (ex wife, and non-associated) and my page was deleted due to supposed lack of GNG articles. When digging deeper, I found your username associated with this merge and possible deletion.

I am trying to get my wikipedia page running again. I have won world titles and multiple national titles the past 3 years in my professional sport, which makes me wonder why there is no credibility to keep my wikipedia page?

I am new to this, and did not create this wikipedia page, but it has definitely helped me in my career. I would really like to get this up and running again and would appreciate any help I can get

• The AFD was in 2021, so it is possible to re-create an article in Draft space. When ready, it should then be evaluated by an editor in good standing. In no case should you yourself move it to main article space. However, please note that this would not be "your" wiki page, but a wiki page about you, which is something very different. In general, autobiographies are discouraged. Especially if written by people that are not familiar with WP, this often leads to big problems. If you're really notable in the WP sense, sooner or later somebody else will write an article about you and I advice you to wait for that. --Randykitty (talk) 10:58, 31 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  @Bikeman2000 Your name links to her article because you are mentioned there as her husband, with reliable sources. If you've got a Reliable published source to say you're no longer married, please add it to the talk page of her article and ask for someone to edit the article to update the content. As she's considered notable, her personal life, at least to the level of marriages etc, is considered a natural part of her article. PamD 11:07, 31 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  Fair enough. I have multiple published articles about me and my accomplishments, surely that would be validating enough to have my wikipedia page resuscitated? I just want to get this back running and have no idea how to make that happen. I was not the creator of the page, nor an admin. Is this something that I need to pay someone to fix for me?   By no means am I familiar with anything in the wikipedia world enough to create something like that. Thanks for the clarification. If I have had articles written about me since 2021. But since this page is deleted, it will have to be recreated if I'm understanding this correctly?
