Thanks

[edit]

Thank you for providing this link at the AFD. It will be of use when the questions about such journals and "UGC approval" arise in the future, as they surely will.

I would also suggest that you add WP:RSN and WT:INB to your watchlist, if you don't have them there already, since questions about India-related sources etc are often raised there and your input would be valuable. Cheers. Abecedare (talk) 19:10, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Flyingphoenixchips (talk) 20:21, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Also I propose making a blacklist on Wikipedia, on such journals. I know one for News Media already exist, but it would be helpful if we can blacklist any potential journal articles that are cited as a pdf. 100% of the items, a cited paper in form of a pdf is predatory. If you would like, we can open up an RfC on this issue. Flyingphoenixchips (talk) 21:01, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It is too early to start an RfC methinks. We got Wikipedia:News sources/India. Should we scrape this list: https://ugccare.unipune.ac.in/apps1/home/index ? It hasn't been updated recently but may still be of value. Maybe you can ask them if we can use it? Polygnotus (talk) 06:04, 3 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Use of PROD

[edit]

I deleted the PROD that you had placed over the AFD on Northeast India International Travel Mart. The WP:PROD page states that "It must never be used simultaneously with a deletion discussion (AfD or FfD), and it may only be placed on a page a single time. (...) PROD is one-shot only: It must not be used for pages PRODed before or previously discussed at AfD or FfD." AllyD (talk) 07:17, 26 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Noted thanks :) I had just used the PROD because the AfD was taking ages with barely any participation from the community 🥲 Flyingphoenixchips (talk) 23:11, 27 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Shared account

[edit]

Hello! I took a look at your user page and noticed that you share your account. Shared accounts are against Wikipedia policy, so if both of you want to edit, one of you should go make a second, separate account if at all possible. Have a nice day, PrinceTortoise (he/himpoke) 02:19, 7 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Oh alright. I wasn’t aware of that. I just made the disclosure in my user page because some edits on my account might have different IPs. Thanks for the heads up though! Flyingphoenixchips (talk) 06:00, 7 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
