Hi Diannaa. I bring you all my copyright questions. A relatively inexperienced editor flagged Kalypso Nicolaïdis for copyright violations with the copyvio template. Should they have at the same time posted it to Wikipedia:Copyright problems? I notice that it doesn't seem to have appeared there. I'm sorry to trouble you, but I'm not certain enough about what should happen to try to fix it myself. Thank you! Russ Woodroofe (talk) 12:35, 1 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Once the first seven days have gone by, the subpages for each date have to be manually transcluded on the main page for reports to show up there. I have gone ahead and added the subpages through to April 24. So if you look at the page now, you will see your report under the heading for April 19. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 13:03, 1 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! I would have surely gotten that wrong. Sorry not to notice earlier. Russ Woodroofe (talk) 14:55, 1 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Roxelana

Hi Diannaa! A user with a visible IP address keeps vandalising the "issue" section of ROXELANA'S wiki page. The content was added and corroborated with greatly curated resources but there is constant deletions of content even after relevant and necessary pro and against claims have been included. Kindly help in blocking that user to prevent further vandalism, as it will be much appreciated. Thank you! AkEd21 (talk) 14:05, 3 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This is a content dispute and edit war, not vandalism. Your first step in dispute resolution is to discuss the problem with the other user on the article's talk page. Please try that first, and if you are unable to resolve the disagreement, there's options listed at Wikipedia:Dispute resolution. --— Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 14:19, 3 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for responding. Multiple discussions on my talk page have been done with the concerned user, I have incorporated their suggestion for which they cited a credible source and did further research to corroborate better but this user seems to have a personal vendetta as they go on every page I edited and make arbitrary edits which really annoys me. That's why I thought of reaching to an admin. I hope you understand my concern. Thank you! AkEd21 (talk) 14:25, 3 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Macedonia (ancient kingdom)

Hi

I'm a new user and don't know much about wikipedia. I have noticed that there is a group of people that make on purpose mistakes to serve nationalist agenda of Greece. For example in the article Macedonia (ancient kingdom) they have written "

The Macedonians, like the other Greeks, traditionally practiced monogamy,

but in the source given it says instead that the Macedonian royal house practised polygamy, which in the eyes of the Greeks, was a symbol of barbarians. Please check yourself to see. Every time the mistakes are pro Greek. These mistakes are not a subject of consensus. When someone writes something that is pro Greek even if it is a mistake no one objects. If you try to correct it they revert and one helps another. It's obvious that there is a collusion of people. If you want more examples let me know to show you.

OK thank you but my assumption is when a source is provided and the article says otherwise then is a matter of just correcting it and not a content dispute. Reverting an edit that corrects a mistake is not justifiable. Thanks anyway. SolderUnion (talk) 23:52, 3 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That's the kind of discussion that needs to happen on the article talk page. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 23:55, 3 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

re https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:Michael_Williams_(photographer)&action=edit&redlink=1

Hi Dianna, I created this as a Draft page and was working through the content. The part you flagged as having copyright content was place holder text while I was working on the page. Is there a way I can access the page as there was original content with citations/references I will have lost otherwise? Thanks, Bonjours1234 (talk) 07:04, 6 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Sorry but copyright material is not allowed anywhere on Wikipedia, not even in sandboxes or drafts. None of the prose is usable, as it's a match for content previously published here. I have sent you a copy of the deleted draft via email. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 08:03, 6 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
