[edit]Flags in template
[edit]Having heard no objection from User:Timbouctou since 21 August, I propose to reinstate the flags since I do think they're visually useful and relevant. If s/he reverts me again, I won't reciprocate. Q·L·1968 ☿ 18:06, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
Sources for Flag of Ilirida
[edit]I believe this fits into 'Usage by other sources' of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Reliable_sources#Self-published_sources_(online_and_paper). Based on a simple Google search it does not seem like a 'made-up flag'

Let me know what you think. --James Richards (talk) 02:51, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
- The results there are commons uploads by two users (very likely to be the same individual from what I can remember) and two tweets. So yea... still not acceptable, to say the least. --Local hero talk 02:58, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
- Ok I see where you are coming from, and I withdraw my ticket for this talk. Have a nice day. --James Richards (talk) 04:59, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
Cham Albanians
[edit]There is no separatism or stateless nationalism among Cham Albanians in Greece in 2025, and the claim is totally unsourced and should be removed. Khirurg (talk) 16:17, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
- Lets see what @Nishjan: has to say. Ktrimi991 (talk) 16:19, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
- Members of the Cham community who were expelled from Greece continue to actively advocate for the right to return to Chameria. In order to do so, they have established the PDIU political party in Albania. Their demands include the right to return and the restitution of property confiscated by the Greek state. The movement is still very much active today. Nishjan (talk) 16:25, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
- Those members are outside of Greece. There is no such movement within Greece, hence the entry cannot remain in the table. Unless you can provide sources that there is a Cham separatist movement in Greece in 2025. Khirurg (talk) 16:27, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
- That is not a prerequisite for inclusion in the table. For example, there is no active Greek separatist movement in Albania or a Chechen movement in Russia, by that logic, those entries should also be removed. Nishjan (talk) 16:31, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
- Since the Chams are listed under Greece, there absolutely is a requirement that there be a movement in Greece for inclusion. There are Greeks in Albania and Chechens in Russia, that is a completely separate issue. Khirurg (talk) 16:39, 29 May 2025 (UTC)

- Looking at the template, a group does not necessarily need to live in the specific country. Manchus are included in Russia, though they don't live there today. "Eastern Greeks" are included in Turkey, though they are in extremely tiny numbers and I doubt they have any separatist movement. In this case, "Chams Albanians" should be replaced with "Chameria" IMO. Ktrimi991 (talk) 16:41, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
- Poland even has the "Free City of Danzig" included, though its supporters are not in Poland. Ktrimi991 (talk) 16:44, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
- The template needs cleanup. Manchus, Eastern Greeks, and Danzig and all that should be removed as well. A bunch of activists in another country does not mean there is a separatist movement in that country. Khirurg (talk) 16:49, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
- So I really don't care about this template; in general I don't like templates. As of now Nishjan is right. Khirurg, if you want to make changes, you will need a new consensus from the wider community on what the template should contain. Up to you people to decide whether it is worth the time or not to keep debating over this. Ktrimi991 (talk) 16:51, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
