Lazarus is a given name and surname (family name). The pronunciation of the name is [ laz-er-uhs ]. [1]It is derived from the Hebrew אלעזר, Elʿāzār (Eleazar) meaning "God has helped".[2] This is a unique name (not in the top 1000 newborn names in the US in 2021).[3]
