Robson was awarded the OBE in the January 1990 New Year Honours.[13] In 1998, he was named among the list of Football League 100 Legends,[14] and was made an Inaugural Inductee of the English Football Hall of Fame in 2002 in recognition of his impact on the English game as a player.[15] He was named as one of West Bromwich Albion's 16 greatest players, in a 2004 poll organised as part of the club's 125th anniversary celebrations.[16]
