Istoricul obiectului
Deutsch: Der Kreistag des Landkreises Konstanz hat die Annahme des vorstehend beschriebenen Wappens beschlossen, die das Innenministerium Baden-Württemberg am 25. April 1974 genehmigte.
Die Wappenbilder symbolisieren die früheren Herrschaftsstrukturen im Kreisgebiet: das Fürstbistum Konstanz und die Reichsabtei Reichenau (Kreuz) sowie die Hegau-Grafen bzw. Landgrafschaft Nellenburg (Hirschstangen). Die Fische (Felchen) sollen den Fischreichtum im Bodensee symbolisieren.
English: The arms were granted on 25 April 1974. They show in the third quarter the antlers of the Counts of Nellenbach and a fish, as a symbol for the fisheries and the position on the border of Lake Bodensee; the cross is derived of the arms of the monastery of Reichenau.
