Entries on notable African American subjects trapped in Draftspace[edit]

I would be glad to have help with:

FAR for The Slave Community[edit]

I have nominated The Slave Community for a featured article review here. Please join the discussion on whether this article meets the featured article criteria. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. If substantial concerns are not addressed during the review period, the article will be moved to the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Delist" in regards to the article's featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. Z1720 (talk) 23:38, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone help me get Masi Asare into the mainspace?[edit]

Hello, I hope I'm writing in the correct place. I really got into it with another wikipedia editor who won't let me add Tony-nominated writer Masi Asare to the list of notable alums from the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop, because she doesn't already have a Wikipedia page.

To my knowledge, she's the only Black person on that list, and so for her not to get to be on it, I think is a travesty. So, I wrote this Draft:Masi Asare. And I'm wondering if either

a) anyone on here has the authority to move her to the mainspace, so she can finally officially have her page or

b) if no one does, if anyone is interested in looking the draft over and seeing ways they may be able to make it even better, so hopefully it has a better chance of not being denied?

[Lastly, I suppose as a stop gap, if we can't get her page up, if anyone cares about her being listed as an alum of the workshop BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop, wikipedia works by consensus. So, if someone brought it to the talk page and there were multiple of us who were in favor, then we could do it without the permission of that guy. (I'm not encouraging like ganging up on someone or anything, but just trying to bring awareness to this issue so that if anyone cares about the issue enough, then we could open up a discussion there to try to get her added to the list as a red link, since IMO, people should at least see her on the list. But best case scenario is that she just gets a page.]

So, anyway, if anyone can help me make this page a reality, or if anyone can tell me if there's somewhere else I should be posting for help, if not here, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks a million! Wikipedian339 (talk) 14:02, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Enslaved v. slave in article naming[edit]

Hello project members, recently an article I started under the title Angela (enslaved woman) was moved to Angela (slave) - my understanding is that enslaved is the better terminology to use as it describes the act that was forced on people, and does not suggest it was their identity. However the mover, said they were following a convention for XXX (slave). I wondered if there had already been a discussion about this or an RfC more widely?
