2022 World Rally-Raid Championship

2022 World Rally-Raid Championship
Previous: 2021 (FIA)
2021 (FIM)
Next: 2023

The 2022 World Rally-Raid Championship was the inaugural season of the annual competition for rally raid events sanctioned by both the FIA and FIM.

Calendar[edit]

The calendar for the 2022 season originally featured five rally-raid events.[1] Rally Kazakhstan, which was initially planned for 24–30 April, was cancelled due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.[2] The Andalucía Rally was moved from its original 6–12 June date to October due to a heat wave and wildfire risk in the region, and the Rallye du Maroc was pushed forward by five days to accommodate the change.[3]

Round Dates Rally name Format Ref.
1 1–14 January Saudi Arabia Dakar Rally Marathon [4][5]
2 5–10 March United Arab Emirates Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge Rally
3 1–6 October Morocco Rallye du Maroc Rally
4 18–23 October Spain Andalucía Rally Rally
