ジョン・ゴールドソープ

ジョン・ゴールドソープ（John Harry Goldthorpe、1935年5月27日 - ）は、イギリスの社会学者。オックスフォード大学ナッフィールドカレッジ名誉教授。社会階層論、マクロ社会学、文化消費論が専門で、社会学に合理的選択論の方法論を積極的にとりいれたことで知られる。

サウス・ヨークシャーで生まれる。ユニヴァーシティ・カレッジ・ロンドンやロンドン・スクール・オブ・エコノミクスで学ぶ。1984年、英国学士院会員に選出される。また2001年からスウェーデン王立科学アカデミーの会員でもある。

ゴールドソープの貢献は、社会流動性（social mobility）の研究に見出せる。社会学における階級分類の標準的アプローチのひとつで、サービス階級・中間階級・労働階級の3つに大別された11の階級に基づく「ゴールドソープ階級図式」を提示した。
