Lee Da-bin (born August 1, 1996), better known by her stage name Yeonwoo, is a South Korean actress and singer managed by 9ato Entertainment. She is best known as a former member of the girl group Momoland. Yeonwoo has acted in television dramas, including Pegasus Market (2019), Touch (2020), and Cheat on Me If You Can (2020).

Early life[edit]

Yeonwoo was born on August 1, 1996, in Chungju, North Chungcheong Province, South Korea. She attended School of Performing Arts Seoul.[citation needed]

Career[edit]

2016–2019: Finding Momoland, debut with Momoland and departure[edit]

In 2016, Yeonwoo became a contestant on Mnet's reality survival show Finding Momoland to select the members of MLD Entertainment's new girl group Momoland.[1] She finished the competition in fifth place and officially debuted in Momoland on November 10, 2016, with the mini-album Welcome to Momoland.[2][3] On November 30, 2019, Yeonwoo departed from Momoland to focus on acting activities.[4]

2020–present: Acting career[edit]

In 2020, after Yeon-woo left Momoland, she joined the dramas Touch, Alice,[5] Live On and Cheat on Me If You Can.

In 2021, Yeonwoo appeared in the drama Dali & Cocky Prince.[6]

In 2022, Yeonwoo appeared in the drama The Golden Spoon[7] got her an award for best new actress from the award ceremony 2022 MBC Drama Awards.[8] On January 19, it was confirmed that Yeonwoo signed an exclusive contract with 9ato Entertainment.[9]

In 2023, Yeonwoo starred in a workplace drama Numbers.[10] On August 9, she contributed the soundtrack "To You" (그대에게) for MBC TV television series My Dearest.[11]
