Deletion nomination for Category:American politicians who are the sole member of their party in statewide office[edit]

I am commenting to appeal for Keep votes on this deletion entry for Category:American politicians who are the sole member of their party in statewide office. I believe it is an extremely obvious measure of the unique identity of politicians who are incentivized to be "mavericks," as well as electoral geography and power balance. Much of the reasoning for deletion relies on the nominator's as-yet unsourced insistence that categories must permanently apply to pages, rather than be subject to current events or changes in employment, like elections. Others have simply declared this plainly unique status to be non-defining. The Delete voters have been largely unresponsive, and even when they do respond, have been argumentatively selective and engage in sophistry. Thank you very much for your consideration. 1Matt20 (talk) 18:45, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
