new WP:RDREG userbox[edit]

This user is a Reference desk regular.

The box to the right is the newly created userbox for all RefDesk regulars. Since you are an RD regular, you are receiving this notice to remind you to put this box on your userpage! (but when you do, don't include the |no. Just say {{WP:RD regulars/box}} ) This adds you to Category:RD regulars, which is a must. So please, add it. Don't worry, no more spam after this - just check WP:RDREG for updates, news, etc. flaminglawyerc 07:26, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Population and demograhics of Chatsworth[edit]

Hi

I would like some info. on the population and race demographics of Chatsworth. The last stats I have is from 1996.

Thanks

Vijay —Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.242.138.102 (talk) 12:09, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Vijay. I gather you noticed my edits to Chatsworth, Durban. Unfortunately, I didn't add any useful encyclopedic content (iirc, I just fixed a few very obvious errors). A google search doesn't really provide anything useful and I'm not even sure the census data would be very useful - I imagine the census of Chatsworth wouldn't have been done very rigorously. Anyway, your best bet would be to email Stats SA. Here is the "contact us" section of their website. From experience, they're quite helpful. All the best! Reporting vandalism[edit]

Yesterday (February 19) you gave the user 209.158.113.8 a low-level warning for vandalism despite a final warning just a week earlier. Why didn't you instead report the user for a block on the account of vandalism beyond a final warning? This user just committed vandalism again and, unless I'm missing something here, I'd like to see him getting a short block. Thanks! masqueraid 13:11, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I think I reverted that edit with Twinkle and since it automatically loads the user's talk page (in "editing" mode) after the reversion, I just used {{uw-v1}} without paying too much attention to the prior edits and left it that. Sometimes I go on anti-vandalism sprees but I guess yesterday I didn't care enough - sorry! Anyway, I've come to learn that using any of the warning templates would be sufficient fuel for a block when an admin eventually notices the vandalism. But thanks for the note and I will try to be more vigilant when deciding the level of the warning from now on. Cheers, Zain Ebrahim (talk) 13:28, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, good. Thanks for the clarification! Yours, masqueraid 13:40, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What is the ratio of Palestinian to Israeli civilian deaths?[edit]

Greetings, Z.E.! I'm a latecomer to this discussion in which you participated; please check the page's history for my contributions, which you may find of interest. And thanks for your contributions! -- Cheers, Deborahjay (talk) 13:33, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Deborah! I had a look at your comments. I guess it isn't fair to compare the gender distribution without adjusting for the "disparate natures of the "target" populations and means of fighting", as you mention. Zain Ebrahim (talk) 21:09, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ooops.[edit]

Sorry, Unintentional. Must have been an edit conflict that didn't give me the edit conflict warning. I'll fix it. APL (talk) 13:32, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oh okay - cool then. Thanks for fixing it. Zain Ebrahim (talk) 13:35, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just in case you haven't had had had had had had had had had had had enough...[edit]

I'm hoping to keep the conversation about this article active and avoid the usual fleeing from a topic that takes place after an AfD has closed. There was much talk about merging this article but little agreement on where to merge it to. Therefore I am informing everyone who participated in the debate of the ongoing conversation here in order to bring this matter to a close sometime in our lifetimes. Quick reminder[edit]

Don't forget that help desk templates such as {{RD1}} should be substituted not transcluded. Thanks. – ukexpat (talk) 15:37, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I didn't know RD1 needed to be substed. Thanks for the heads up! Zain Ebrahim (talk) 15:39, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, all the help desk templates in {{Help desk templates navbox}} should be substed. – ukexpat (talk) 15:18, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You are now a Reviewer[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:33, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

South park episode 200[edit]

You are right that in that specific scene, Jesus is not watching porn. [ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMcVESkQeAI ] But one episode later he actually does [ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXoprlMxgP0 ] I think it is relevant to the Muhammed subplot, so maybe it should be added with a note that it happened one episode later? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.180.34.128 (talk) 22:34, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yep - you're right. I tweaked it. Zain Ebrahim (talk) 22:43, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. There are a lot of Investment related articles on Wikipedia that could use a little attention, and I hope this project can help organize an effort to improve them. So please, take a look and if you like what you see, help get this project off the ground and a few Investment pages into the front ranks of Wikipedia articles. Thanks!
