It sounds like your issue is less with the Squad section of this page and more with the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Football in general. This is a style guide that began 16 years ago and continues to be improved upon as time goes by. Conforming to this style guide is imperative in keeping this football club page in line with Wikipedia standards. Being in line with other Canadian Premier League club pages is not a legitimate reasoning as those club pages should be conforming to this style guide as well. I will not engage in further edit warring but this single article is not the appropriate forum to air grievances about a longstanding WikiProject and I would suggest introducing a third opinion to resolve this dispute. In the same way that the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Football is a proposal, so too does the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Tables state that it is only advised against to split tables, leaving the possibility open should the community see it fit. As the lengthy discussion linked by User:Nehme1499 shows, the two column format is preferred when responsive is not possible. I will be reverting the changes to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atl%C3%A9tico_Ottawa#Current_squad and if you wish to continue the discussion about your disagreement with the established format I would request that you do so on the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Football talk page (as you already have began) or with said user, rather than on this specific article.
