Mystery Highway continued

Hi, if you don't mind, I had a few more things to ask from our previous convo about my article's rejection. Were you saying that example (The Case of Evil) will need to be considered for deletion? Anyway, more good points and ideas, thank you. As part of an overhaul of my article, I'm going to turn it over to a journalist friend of mine to take mine and make it his own. So when wants to submit it (instead of me), is there anything special I need to do? Would I just send him the link the existing draft and will he see it under is own log in? (This will also inadvertently solve the conflict of interest issue). Also, by 'sources', do you think more critic reviews may suffice, or do I really need articles written about the movie in some capacity? Thanks. 97.170.241.150 (talk) 01:00, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again! Yes, the example needed to be considered for deletion, but its creator has decided to make it a draft instead - which is permitted once. They've decided to send it through Articles for Creation, which is the process you were using. I think this was a wise decision and will get some experienced eyes on it.
You can just link your journalist friend to the draft, anyone can see it and edit it so he is of course welcome to do so. I'd suggest you send him the links of WP:42, WP:NOTABLE, and WP:NFILM - and if he hasn't edited much on Wikipedia before, WP:YFA and WP:REFB will also be of use. Writing for Wikipedia is very different from writing for papers or magazines, so please also let him know that we are looking for neutral, 'dull but worthy' prose (which sounds boring, but it's the Wikipedia way). If critics have said nice things about the movie that can absolutely be part of the draft/article, it just needs to be suitably sourced or quoted (as you have done in the draft already). Reviews should be enough, but he/you can also add information if for example any reliable sources wrote about the general creation of the film. Basically if it fits WP:42, you can consider adding that information.
I hope that helps, and please feel free to ask more questions if you like - he is also welcome to ask me or at the general AfC help desk. I live with chronic pain and have a hospital stay coming up so I will be very slow and useless for the next couple of weeks; he'll probably want to go to the help desk with questions during that time if he's eager!
