Autopatrolled granted[edit]

Hi Rockies77, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the patroller right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! — xaosflux Talk 11:40, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sports in 2019[edit]

Hi, I'm helping with the page "2019 in sports" and I noticed you already transfered the informations in the sections of badminton and tennis table. I was thinking that we can consider cutting the sections of winter sports, for a matter of chronological and formal order in the page, since the seasons of these sports disciplines are almost over, and instead keeping those of badminton and tennis table (at least until mid of season or with the most important tournaments such as worlds, world tours, ect.). The pages where we transfer those infos are often not updated and left incomplete, so, since winter sports sections are more or less already updated and completed, this can be a criteria to follow to keep the whole page updated and in order. Any thoughts? 151.45.46.108 (talk) 00:18, 23 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Well, I need to eventually move all those ice and snow sports subtopics to their respective topics anyway. The skiing version has already been made and the ice version needs to be created. As you have already seen in the 2019 in sports topic, the reference section has been "disappearing", when the whole topic gets overloaded with too much information. That is the whole reason why I created all those topics in the past, like "2018 in combat sports" and "2018 in skiing", as examples. I can accept your idea and transfer all that information about the snow and ice sports right now. By the way, thank you for contacting me on this matter. Also, you are most welcome to add and modify any credible information you have for this topic. I do not want to do the whole topic by myself. That would not be fair for everyone else, including yourself. Besides, you may have information and results about a sport that I did not know it exists. Rockies77 (talk) 07:04, 23 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
    • Much appreciated. I'm working as much as I can on this page obviously waiting for each confederation and federation to release their calendars. If you agree, I can put in badminton and tennis table sections at least the infos about world championships and highest level tournaments in world tour circuits (I would follow this criteria in all sections, as I told you, but I can't do this only on my own initiative: I need we agree on it). Another problem regarding those sections is that of motorsport: in facts I noticed that the results we publish on motorsport section have never been transfered to an external section such as "2019 in motorsport". Should I leave the results there and just update them? Thanks and have a nice day. 151.45.46.108 (talk) 12:54, 23 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
      • You have my permission to modify the badminton and table tennis sections you see fit. Besides, we are still in January and there will be a lot more information to add here, as the year progresses. As for the "2019 in motorsports" topic, that is a tough one. That and its similar format for the other past years are just summaries for that particular year. What I do with, for example, the association football topics in the past is that I transferred such information from a "20XX in sports" to the "20XX in association football", with naming the transferred info as "Detailed Results in association football", "Detailed Results in futsal", and so on. As far as I know, I do not have such entries being reverted by any editor here. Wikipedia would tell me, if my edits were reverted by another editor, in a form of a message. Therefore, you can use any method that you feel confortable with, when it comes to new and updated information here. Rockies77 (talk) 06:24, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
        • Ok, perfect. I was just waiting for this: I start working as soon as possible. 151.45.46.108 (talk) 12:18, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion on 2020 in sports[edit]

Hi, I just started a discussion on 2020 sports page (and also about the whole project). Since you're one of the most active users on that project, I thought it would be a good idea to involve you in it, so we can discuss future scenarios. Have a day. --151.50.251.161 (talk) 13:37, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
