Disambiguation link notification for June 16[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Bowling at the 2017 World Games - Single Men, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Marshall Kent (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:13, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Raval77

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Govvy, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Luxembourg at the 2009 World Games, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to contest the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Govvy}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. --Govvy (talk) 22:40, 16 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Note[edit]

Please stop creating articles, sourced only to primary sources, about World Games events. All articles must conform to WP:V, and these currently do not. A discussion will be taking place about what to do with these articles shortly. Thank you. Black Kite (talk) 00:17, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Lifesaving at the 2017 World Games - Women's 50m Manikin Carry has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable event, lacks independent coverage

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. 2021 Junior World Weightlifting Championships

hello friends, i was see your edits in above article. I found a complete source of old weightlifting results. You know that many weightlifting articles are not made on Wikipedia because they are not a source. But this source is very complete.

we havent articles from 1975 to 2016 of Junior World Weightlifting Championships and 2009 to 2016 IWF Youth World Weightlifting Championships articles.

I do not have much experience with making articles and my speed is very low and I am not yet familiar with the code. If you create (with some of other user) and each one upload some of them, we can have a complete archive of all courses.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Finswimming at the 2022 World Games – Men's 400 m surface requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hello, Raval77, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username Chris troutman, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Finswimming at the 2022 World Games – Men's 100 m surface, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Finswimming at the 2022 World Games – Men's 100 m surface.

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. I've now also nominated all the similar non-notable individual events. No element of swimming is inherently notable. Each standalone article needs to have significant coverage from independent reliable sources. Wikipedia is not a website for you to engage your hobby. While I imagine you don't think you're causing any harm, New Page Patrollers sift through this content and what you've created runs afoul of WP:N. The discussion will take place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Finswimming at the 2022 World Games – Men's 100 m surface until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. Ways to improve Federico Murru[edit]

Hello, Raval77,

Thank you for creating Federico Murru.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Winning a key contest suggests that there will be more reliable sources, but it would be great if these could be added to confirm notability.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Klbrain}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Speedway edits[edit]

Hello Raval77, many thanks for all of your edits, great work. I have changed one small thing which is the BSN Series headings on the SGB Championship 2024 page. The problem with too many headings is that the contents box gets distorted and the page ends up with white space at the top. The mention of knockout stages is sufficient in the contents box. Hopefully I will be able to find an image that can sit on the right hand side of the page that can address the existing white space. Anyway, thanks again. Speedway results[edit]

Hi Raval77, thanks for all your work again, one quick note. You don't have to reference every result. One reference listing the results section will suffice. Many thanks Pyeongchang (talk) 12:09, 14 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for nice words. I would like to add something about results of the matches. I understand your point of view, but in my opinion it would be better to links results of matches (it's quicker to get this kind of info, it's not time-consuming etc.).
