Wikipedia and copyright[edit]
Hello Preciousayara, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Nigeria gully erosion crisis have been removed, as they appear to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues here.

Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. - In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. - Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. Hello, I'm TJRC. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you unlinked one or more redlinks from University of Benin (Nigeria). Often redlinks can be helpful, so we don't remove them just because they are red. They help improve Wikipedia by attracting editors to create needed articles.
In addition, clicking on the "What links here" special link (in the Wikipedia Toolbox at left) on a missing article shows how many—and which—articles depend on that article being created. This can help prioritize article creation. Redlinks are useful! Please, only remove a redlink if you are pretty sure that it is to a non-notable topic and not likely ever to be created. Thanks! Okpekpe Road Race moved to draftspace[edit]

AfroCine: The Months of African Cinema Continues….[edit]

Thank you very much for signing up to participate in the Months of African Cinema global contest/edit-a-thon, and thank you for your contributions so far.
It is already the middle of the contest and a lot have been achieved already! We have been able to get over 200 articles created in over seven (7) languages! The figures soars to up to a thousand, if Wikidata entries are included. Furthermore, there have been about 5 in-person gatherings of Wikipedians in different countries across the world to create articles about African(a) cinema!

All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. Problem with your custom signature[edit]
You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.
The problem: Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.
The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.
- Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
- Remove anything in the Signature: text box. (It might already be empty.)
- Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
- Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
- Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.

Welcoming New Volunteers[edit]
Note that the dates observed in bold under the underlined title of message help reflect and clarify the most current & oldest messages with the most current being at the top and the oldest being at the bottom.
We hereby want to officially welcome new volunteers who have recently joined the collaborative project and have volunteered to work in WP:NIGERIA. The arrival of new volunteers is often associated with the confusion of “what to do” on their part, it is then behoove of us to treat them with care, guide them, and protect them from the general pitfalls a new editor would most usually fall into. We are also admonished to clean up after them if they err and encourage them, most especially when they are genuine editors with potential to do good work not just for us, but for the community as a whole. Edo Wikimedia Hub[edit]
Dear User Preciousayara, I noticed you created a meta page for Edo Wikimedia Hub on Meta in 2018. It appears the hub never really kicked off. Since joining the Community in 2020, I have been nursing plans to launch a Wikimedia Hub in state (Edo) as there are currently no Wikimedia activities in the state aside the ones I have organized in different institutions in the state. Federal Medical Centres, University Teaching Hospitals and Federal Specialty Hospitals are Federal government of Nigeria owned hospitals controlled by the Federal Ministry of Health. There are a total of 22 Federal Medical Centres, 20 University Teaching Hospitals and 13 Federal Specialty Hospitals in Nigeria, but articles about these hospitals are missing on Wikipedia and this project will seek to create these articles on the English Wikipedia.
