Hi there! Phase I of the Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/2024 review has concluded, with several impactful changes gaining community consensus and proceeding to various stages of implementation. Some proposals will be implemented in full outright; others will be discussed at phase II before being implemented; and still others will proceed on a trial basis before being brought to phase II. The following proposals have gained consensus:

See the project page for a full list of proposals and their outcomes. A huge thank-you to everyone who has participated so far :) looking forward to seeing lots of hard work become a reality in phase II. theleekycauldron (talk), via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 08:09, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of John Higgins[edit]

The article John Higgins you nominated as a good article has failed ; see Talk:John Higgins for reasons why the nomination failed. TFA[edit]

story · music · places

Today's TFA, Felix M. Warburg House, was written by Vami_IV and Epicgenius, introduced: "This article is about another of the great houses that once lined Fifth Avenue in New York. Specifically, this is the mansion of Felix M. Warburg, a Jewish financier who ignored fears of anti-Semitic reprisal to his decided to build himself a big Gothic manor in the middle of New York City. Although the Warburgs no longer remain, their legacy does: the museum is now the home of the Jewish Museum (Manhattan) and the building largely survives as they left it. It's a beautiful building and I hope you will all enjoy it."! - in memory --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:06, 10 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Jacob Fatu again[edit]

Hello, Lee. Sorry to bother you (again). The same user appeared again. As you told me, I'm gonna slow down. The problem is, as you saw, several sources reported Jacob Fatu signed with WWE. The user states that, since WWE dind¡t announced it, it's false. Now, he says since Fatu didn't debut in 30 days, it's false (I pointed how other wrestlers like John Morrison and AOP signed months before their return). Also, points that since PWInsider was questioned 10 years ago, it's unreliable. Can you give your toughts, please? At this point, it's impossible to talk with him or make him reason. HHH Pedrigree (talk) 11:26, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

.Also, sorry to bother you. As you know, I respect your opinion. I would love to use ANI, but I know pro wrestling has an horrible reputation and, most likely, other admins would attack pro wrestler and the articles. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 11:27, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, am just in the middle of something right now, but I'll take a look in a bit. Could you drop me the link to the convo? Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 11:27, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, don't worry. [1] Here is the user tlak page. [2] [3] As I told you, my concern is the idea of using independent sources, but people removing the information because they want WWE to confirm the information, so there is no point of using independent, third party sources if we need a company to say yes. Also, he has threated to write a report to erase my account several times. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 11:32, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I've left a message. As far as I see it - either a source is reliable (and high quality) and we trust it's information, or we don't (yes, there are some cases where we don't trust individual pieces of information, but that so far hasn't been judged in any instance). If we trust PWInsider, which according to our guidelines, we do, then we'd need an equal strength of sourcing to say that it isn't true.
So, for me, we need to establish again if the source is notable. If it is, the info should be retained, if not, well that's also fine as we won't have the same issue again. Without questioning it, we are in dire straights. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 12:42, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Okey, thanks. It's weird. As I said, I have been in this situation previously. PWinsider reported in the past that John Morrison, Eva Marie and Cody Rhodes signed with WWE. People remove them because "WWE hasn't confirm the information" and, weeks later, they made their return, so I think this would end future discussions around contracts. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 13:07, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
