Hi, I saw on the list of AfC reviewers that you were interested in math (and politics), and to be honest I don't quite understand what this draft is about but I was wondering if you could take a look and/or give it a review. Thanks! GoldRomean (talk) 19:27, 15 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@GoldRomean This was quite an interesting subject to research, thanks for pointing me to this draft! Garsh (talk) 16:04, 17 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Articles for Creation backlog drive

[edit]

Hello Garsh2:

WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in June!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than 1 month of outstanding reviews from the current 3+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 June 2025 through 30 June 2025.

You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.

Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 3200 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:25, 20 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Page mover granted

[edit]

Hello, Garsh2. Your account has been granted the "extendedmover" user right, either following a request for it or demonstrating familiarity with working with article names and moving pages. You are now able to rename pages without leaving behind a redirect and move subpages when moving the parent page(s).

Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Page mover for more information on this user right, especially the criteria for moving pages without leaving a redirect. Please remember to follow post-move cleanup procedures and make link corrections where necessary, including broken double-redirects when suppressredirect is used. This can be done using Special:WhatLinksHere. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to secure your password. As with all user rights, be aware that if abused, or used in controversial ways without consensus, your page mover status can be revoked.

Useful links:

If you do not want the page mover right anymore, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Thank you, and happy editing! JensonSL (SilverLocust) 22:28, 20 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Double bass

[edit]

Nice to meet you! I wrote Der Kontrabaß ;) - I moved two of your concerto articles, - you may have noticed that Wikipedia tries to keep article names short. There are also standards for key names, such as F-sharp minor. I think the Bottesini concerto article is nice but not quite GA quality. External links don't belong in the prose, we also have {{YouTube}}, for example. Why is the composition year mentioned twice? Do we have reviews of recordings? - But good luck! I'm not a native speaker therefore don't do GA reviews. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:09, 31 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! Thanks for doing some cleanup! I wrote the articles you moved when I was less familiar with naming conventions. I just never thought to go back and fix some of those little issues. I’m still doing a bit of improving on the Bottesini concerto article, and I’ll definitely fix the things you mentioned. Thanks for your help, and I hope our paths cross in the future! Welcome to the drive!

[edit]

Welcome, welcome, welcome Garsh2! I'm glad that you are joining the June 2025 drive! Please, have a cup of WikiTea, and go cite some articles.

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Double Bass Concerto No. 2 (Bottesini) you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period.
