Thanks for the barnstar(s). I got it twice near the bottom of User talk:PrimeHunter. If you suspect you don't see the current version of a page then try to bypass your cache. You can see which edits you have made by clicking "My contributions" at the top of any page. Templates can be difficult for new users. The Teahouse talkpage template is only meant to be used by editors who answer questions and not those who post them. Its use is explained at WP:Teahouse/Teahouse_talkback. Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. Hi, Cocolacoste. I saw your question at the Teahouse. When I started out on Wikipedia, I found a page of Fun stuff in Pluma's adoption pages. Check it out for some ideas on building your userpage. Look at some other userpages using the Edit tab. Your friend PrimeHunter is very minimal; mine is a bit more robust; Worm^TT(talk) is pretty darn fancy. An important point: Please add language userboxs. When added, you are automagically added to a list of those skilled in languages who might be able to verify sources in languages other than English, to help editors and so on. That works even if you leave out the {{babel| and just indicate languages with {{User es-4}} if your Spanish skill is "near-native level - although it's not your first language from birth, your ability is something like that of a native speaker." Putting some other userboxes on your page will add you to lists. On my page, adding the userbox for Wikiproject Birds automagically added me as a member of that project and adding the box that says I retired from the US Army added me to Category: Military People. To add a userbox, just copy the template, like {{Template:User wikiessmall}} and place it on your page while in edit mode, then click 'Preview' to see how it looks. You may have to clear your cache to see the change after saving it. Preview accurately shows how the change will look after you save it.

The Userbox page describes various ways to move userboxes around your page: centered or right rather than the default left margin. I think I see the problem (but can't look inside your preferences to be sure). In your 'My preferences' under Signature, uncheck the box next to Treat the above as wiki markup. That will make Cocolacoste a nickname and the four tildes will correctly add a full signature linked to your userpage and talk page.

The full wiki-markup to make my signature is [[User:Doctree|<b>DocTree</b>]] ([[User talk:Doctree|ʞlɐʇ]] · [[Special:Contributions/Doctree|cont]]) [[WP:WER|Join WER]]. You might try experimenting with wiki-markup for your signature. Try cutting the following code and pasting it into your preferences as your signature, then check the box to use it as wiki-markup and try it out.

[[User:Cocolacoste|<b>Cocolacoste</b>]] [[User talk:Cocolacoste|^Talk]]

That will make your signature look like this -> Cocolacoste ^Talk (except that the word Talk won't be as dark; the wikilink turns dark blue because the code recognizes that it is on the talk page to which the link points.)

So either create a complete wiki-markup signature with links to your page and talk page or uncheck the box. Sorry for the slow response. The propagation section has a tag that requests copyediting for that section. Once you've copyedited, you should remove the maintenance tag, and that should remove it from the category. Thanks for your interest in copyediting--God knows we need it around here. Thankyou for all your hard work on that article. I'm very sorry I reverted your edit, but as I said in the edit summary, I was in the process of dumping all the relevant information into the article. Now that I have finished, I think the article as a whole would greatly appreciate a copyedit from you. I know you have already done bits and pieces, but yeah, if you want to tackle the major paragraphs, then go ahead. No worries, chum. The problem with reverting, though, is that another contributor had to step in to make just about the same corrections I'd already made – regarding typos and repetition of words. It's always best to check the changes and re-edit. As I had a hunch you'd got a bit miffed, however, I've been staying clear of the info you added.

You've certainly done an amazing job there. Can't deal with it right now as I'm up to my neck with real-life work and with another article I was asked to copy-edit –and that article's the stuff of nightmares, I tell you. Working on HH is sorta an escapism from it. I'm just focussing on the easiest stuff, the episode list, which is a flagrant copy'n'paste from this [11]. If you wanna chip in that, you're more than welcome! (especially series 2: I hardly remember what that was about, jeez).

From a cursory look, some random thoughts about your stuff:

• All these

Conception and relationship with book series

Writing and shooting

Music

Casting, characters and costuming

should fall into the "production" category, while "Historical accuracy" and "Popularity and legacy" should be two different headlines, to comply with the Manual of Style on layout and, more importantly, to make the article better organized.

• There are way too many quotations and, ya know, Wikipedia tends to pick everyone on this. Lemme know what you make of this and I'll start working on that in a couple of days.

I totes agree with you moving the list of episodes to another page: it makes the article less unwieldy. The only snag is no summary paragraph is there so the article can get yet another bloody template, just like Lewis (see here: Lewis (TV series)). I'm gonna moving it back –hope you won't mind!

Again, totes agree with no stuffing more sources into HH, we've already got an awful lot of them.

As for archiving it, I'm not quite sure: information about the "French" school differs from what two sources say*, as is the case of his bruv being rejected from the academy. Is asking for a teensy bit of more time too much? Couldn't finish good ol' Fyodor as I'm also tackling with Orange (fruit) at the mo for the November drive. And that is one thorny article. Anyway, it's not for me to decide what should be done with D F. Do what you think best, goes without saying.

Hmm, sounds a trifle twisty, that sentence. I don't quite get what sense of "convey" is being used – plus, you convey something, not someone. "Made him think of"?, "reminded him of" (unlikely, innit?)?, "he got an idea of what life outside Russia would be like"? Cross the the before mosques out.

I've noticed you changed the verbs in captions to past tense. They should go in the present: they're describing the image.

The last user was pulling your leg. "The members were brought to the well-defended Peter and Paul Fortress, which occupied the most dangerous convicts" doesn't make sense. It shoulda been "was occupied by" or, perhaps better, "where the most dangerous convicts were sent" or something like that.

"Outside of" is more US than British English –unless you mean apart from. And DF is in BrE.

Please, don't think I'm lecturing you, eh? Just giving my opinion.

While you'are at it, be careful w/ word order here: "A small statue of the Virgin and child is seen behind the main figures, positioned in a choir screen, between two lit candles". If you put the bold text at the end, it may be confusing 'cause it could be interpreted as if the main figures were the ones in the choir screen, which obvs is not the case. Plus, it isn't quite clear what is between the lit candles (the choir or the statue) and, IMHO, "positioned" makes the prose a trifle verbose and could be left out – sorry if I'm being a pain in the arse. Just don't wanna change it myself without telling you first. Vile and vicious as I might seem, I'm all for dialogue and collaborative work.

January 2013 Backlog elimination drive is a month-long effort to reduce the size of the copy edit backlog. The drive begins on January 1 at 00:00 (UTC) and ends on January 31 at 23:59 (UTC). Our goals are to copy edit all articles tagged in January, February, and March 2012 and complete all requests placed before the end of 2012. Barnstars will be awarded to anyone who copy edits at least one article, and special awards will be given to the top five in the following categories: "Number of articles", "Number of words", "Number of articles of over 5,000 words", "Number of articles tagged in January, February, and March 2012", and "Longest article". Hi Cocolacoste -- I noticed you're the last major editor on Horrible Histories (2009 TV series), so am getting in touch as I'd like to do some extensive work on the article myself, to address the concerns raised in the article's warning template, and don't want to end up stepping on anyone's toes. As per the note left on the article's talkpage, it would basically be in line with your recent edits, with which I incidentally totally agree (some silent cheering may-or-may-not have taken place while reading, actually). Hi, Shoebox. Please, go ahead and hack away. Unmercifully. I'm not very dedicated to that article at the moment – I've just chopped some nonsensical waffle off – but it'd be nice to see it in a better shape.

One thing, though: you don't need to "ask for permission" to edit an article. Just go off and do it (Wikijargon be bold blah, blah). If someone happens to disagree with you, well, tough... Hey Cocolacoste :). I've kept to a strictly supportive role throughout this (incredibly skilled and downright awesome) rewrite, quietly scouting the web for possible sources and adding them to the talk page. Since the article is getting ready to go up, and may only need a few tweaks here and there, I was wondering if you'd care to take a peak at the page and lend your thoughts to see how any useable information can be incorporated. I especially think a peak at the links in the "miscellaneous" section may be good.
