Welcome![edit]

Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Ambercooley! Thank you for your contributions. I am Whisperjanes and I have been editing Wikipedia for some time, so if you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. You can also check out Wikipedia:Questions or type {{help me}} at the bottom of this page. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Whisperjanes (talk) 03:32, 6 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

And I've noticed that you've been creating a lot of biographies of women! You might be interested in joining the WikiProject Women in Red - I've found them to be very helpful and supportive, especially of new editors. If you ever want any feedback or have any questions about a Wikiepedia woman biography or woman-related article you're writing, I recommend talking to editors on the Women in Red talkpage. Best, - Whisperjanes (talk) 03:37, 6 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Whisperjanes! I am an extremely new editor and still navigating the site's language. I appreciate you linking the Women in Red talkpage. I took the liberty of reaching out via their talkpage, so I'm hoping they may have some feedback on things I can do to improve my article creation processes. Thanks again!! Ambercooley (talk) 18:55, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Glad to help, and I'm glad to see you utilizing the talk pages! By the way, I took a look at your edit history, and it seems you actually posted to the WikiProject Women talkpage instead of the WikiProject Women in Red talkpage. There's no issue with this, but I just thought I'd let you know (although they have similar names, they're two different projects). - Whisperjanes (talk) 04:45, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Kyna Fong moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Kyna Fong, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. scope_creepTalk 18:56, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon

Hello Ambercooley. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Ambercooley. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Ambercooley|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Blablubbs|talk 15:44, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Kyna Fong[edit]
