Karishhma Mago moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Karishhma Mago. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Justiyaya 14:12, 1 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hiya! I've draftified the article because I really don't see multiple sources giving significant, reliable and secondary coverage to the subject in the article. A short summary of my interpretation of the sources against WP:GNG is left on the talk page. If you disagree, feel free to submit it to AFC for someone to take a second look at it or ping me and give two sources that you believe best suggest that it passes the guideline. Hello Afí-afeti. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:Karishhma Mago, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Afí-afeti. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Afí-afeti|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Sam Kuru (talk) 17:39, 1 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You can, of course, edit for money as long as you're making the required disclosures. If you're going to insist you're not being compensated, then it would be a good idea to explain the absolutely terrible sourcing and promotional claims at that article. Sam Kuru (talk) 17:39, 1 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to bring this to your attention, that the Subject itself runs a media agency and I believe if she needed 50 or 100 reliable articles, she could get it deliver for herself. I found interest in her, after reading her portfolio at a submit where she was among the speakers. I have seen articles written by users with close connections like Gilles Epié article which the user made its declaration. Like I have always stated, I don't have any of such. Even when creating Bae Beyond Borders and I needed clarity at some point, I try reaching out to the executive producer and I was insulted by the lady. I had to subscribe to Showmax, watch the cast and crew carefully to get the information I needed. Such an article doesn't deserve COI declaration because I wasn't paid or in connection, rather insulted. Afí-afeti (talk) 06:30, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have submitted a source on the Spam-whitelist awaiting review. The link will help shine more light on why she's called a crypto expert. Afí-afeti (talk) 09:56, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also re-edited the draft, waiting on the whitelist before adding the soruce to the draft. Afí-afeti (talk) 09:58, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I was hoping it was simply misguided paid editing, since that leaves us with a significant competency problem. This is a SEO spammer with a very long history of creating fake material on Wikipedia utilizing a variety of rather amateurish SEO/PR sources and paid editors. Let me be really blunt: if you continue to use fake or paid advertorials on Wikipedia articles or drafts, this account will be blocked. You have been made aware of the problem; you are using falsified press releases, paid advertorials and blog posts, and outsight blackhat SEO sources. You are going to run in to this over and over again with this subject. Limit yourself to talk pages until you have a firm grasp of the problem. Sam Kuru (talk) 11:59, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
How do you know it's a paid editor or PR work? unlike the America media. They clearly state it on the publication, but in a case whereby it's a local media from Nigeria, like Vangaurd and others; do they state it? "No", then how do I know?. Afí-afeti (talk) 12:46, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Carefully review the sources. In every case above, it was clearly identified as paid media or contributor content. I would strongly, strongly suggest limiting yourself to topics with clear and reliable sources and avoiding anything ridiculous; especially 'digital media experts' or 'crypto bloggers'. If you're using sources that fail to identify paid placement, then they are not reliable sources. Sam Kuru (talk) 12:53, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
(Ec) If any Nigerian media does not use basic journalism practices, like identifying paid pieces, it shouldn't be used as a source at all as it would not be a reliable source. 331dot (talk) 12:55, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Its best the draft is deleted after reading all your replies and what makes the sources questionable. Afí-afeti (talk) 13:08, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

He is a creative director, and music exec; however TurnTable made him their NXT emerging creative of the month, for contributing to the Nigerian story in 2022, which can be seen as a biographical dictionary in the entertainment, for his contribution to this field in his state, which is Delta State. Afí-afeti (talk) 09:45, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You may want to ask what the TurnTable NXT is? it's a chart for emerging creatives who are contributing to the Nigerian story more like the Next Big Sound for musician, the NXT is for creative. He has been recognized also as one of Nigeria inspirational Music Executives by The Nation. Afí-afeti (talk) 09:53, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. The page Trace Awards has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it was an orphaned disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguated only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ended in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
  • disambiguated zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
  • was a redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that did not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion review.
