The Radleys is an upcoming film starring Damian Lewis. It is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Matt Haig. Directed by Euros Lyn, it is produced by Debbie Gray for Genesius Pictures.

Premise[edit]

Black comedy surrounding a family of vampires who chose to abstain from drinking blood, but when the inherent blood-lust of their teenage children (Baxendale and Bragason) is exposed, parents Helen (Macdonald) and Peter (Lewis) are forced to confront who they are, with the help or hindrance of Peter’s twin brother Will (also Lewis), who is a practising vampire.[1][2]

Adaptions of the book The Radleys by Matt Haig was completed by the British comedian Jo Brand, and written by Talitha Stevenson. Debbie Gray is producing and Damien Lewis is exec producing via his production company Ginger Biscuit Entertainment. Genesius Productions are producing and Cornerstone Films handling worldwide sales.[3]

Casting[edit]

In June 2023 Kelly Macdonald, Sophia Di Martino, Shaun Parkes, Harry Baxendale and Bo Bragason were added to the cast.[4]

Filming[edit]

Principal photography was initially scheduled for May 2023.[5] Production began in London in June 2023.[6][7] Filming locations also include Yorkshire.[8]

Release[edit]

The film is expected to be shown via Sky Cinema in 2024.[9]
