Standardized naming convention[edit]

Can anyone explain to me why some of the Presidential names listed include doble apellido (both last names -- mother's and father's - per Venezuelan custom - e.g.; Perez Jimenez), while others do not (e.g.; Chavez Frias)? Shouldn't one standardized naming convention be used ? Are naming conventions in Venezuela explained anywhere? Sandy 11:50, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

@SandyGeorgia: Just seeing this, after so much time. As far as I know there isn't really a convention and how many last names can depend, for instance on how common they are. Vicente Gómez and Pérez Jiménez are more common that Frías. There are sometimes where a middle name and a last one are used, such as Andrés Pérez. --NoonIcarus (talk) 08:44, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
