Purpose[edit]

This template is for BDSM practices. Please edit it mercilessly. Robotman1974 20:35, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Other template[edit]

Might be handy to have another template covering BDSM concepts and culture (e.g. Top, Bottom, SSC, YKINOK, leather pride flag etc. etc.). AnonMoos 14:57, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

We can include all BDSM concepts in this template itself, by changing title to BDSM. Including 2 templates below each article would be bad. We change title of this template from "BDSM practices" to "BDSM", so that we can make group 4 and group 5 for concepts and cultures. But since i have no idea of topics i cant expand template. You can go ahead, i will help in formatting. Thanks. Lara_bran 05:16, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think I would probably prefer to have two distinct templates; this one is kind of large as it is, and has a narrow specific focus which makes it easy to see what should be included and excluded (which would not really be true for a "BDSM concepts and culture" template). You include here as another group. Later we can spinnout into another template. You include all the terms, i will arrange. Thanks. Lara_bran 13:33, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm very much thinking that two templates would be a good idea, one for BDSM activities, and one for BDSM culture and concepts.Restepc (talk) 03:21, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Categorization bias[edit]

It seems a bit biased to have "female domination" in the "domination and submission" section but "male domination" in the "sadism and masochism" section (isn't it just the flip side of the same thing?). As such, I've moved "male domination" to be in the "domination and submission" category as well. This is far from my area of expertise so if someone with more knowledge than I can explain why it was the way it was, go ahead and revert it, but this seems the most logical thing right now to me. --HarmonicFeather 22:25, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That was actually a trick to attract people to edit this template ;) Lara_bran 10:43, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
