Inclusion criteria[edit]

Considering the editor wants me to seek consensus for these deletions/changes on the Talk page, I will make my point here as my edit was reverted since my edit was for racing teams who build and design their own cars, what is the logic in including racing teams who do not build their own cars, of those listed Munchi's Ford World Rally Team and Arena Motorsport are privateers, if not semi-work supported teams; Triple 8 Race Engineering is a former factory backed team ares. This was why I removed them which got reverted.

In short where is the inclusion criteria, if we include a comprehensive lot of racing teams in the UK, then this template will get cluttered. I thought the inclusion criteria was for car manufacturers and anything involving the car industry. Donnie Park (talk) 16:12, 4 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for bringing this issue to the Talk page. I don't have any really strong feelings on this precise issue either way, but I would like to hear the thoughts of others, not least because I believe that it was another editor with more expertise in this field than me that added many of them in the first place.
There is I think we agree an excellent argument for including all of the Formula One racing teams and I accept that not every motor racing team in the UK should be included. Where to draw the line between those two points is a grey area however and I would prefer to hear the thoughts of others on it before we make deletions. This has a ridiculous scope already. The connection between, say, Scammell and Stoneacre Motor Group is remote to say the least. --kingboyk (talk) 12:57, 6 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
