@Cbl62: the Indiana State media guide indicates on page 158 that Indiana State was 5–2 overall and 2–1 in conference. Seems the newspaper article cited had a typo as you can't have an odd number of ties within the conference. Jweiss11 (talk) 23:36, 16 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please see 1941 Indiana State Sycamores football team. The media guide had multiple errors in its reporting of 1941 results, including duplicate listing of one game and complete omission of two other games that I have verified with multiple sources.
