Season Articles[edit]

Speaking because I don't know how to do this for myself yet. Isn't it time someone created separate season articles for this series by now? We have all the episodes on the main article, and I thought someone out there would take care of this by now. Especially since we've been through 2 seasons going on 3. DC Universe ratings are literally negligible[edit]

Blocking the acceptance of viewer ratings numbers because they don't include the DC Universe (streaming service) is pointless and harmful. The DC Universe service went defunct because they lacked a significant number of subscribers and the viewing numbers of season 2 were not boosted for season 2 when DC Universe went offline which is a clear indicator there were not a significant number of people using it. I think a good way to resolve this would be to leave a note that DC Universe ratings are not included and a quite limited. GravisZro (talk) 15:17, 21 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Season 1 of Stargirl was not a The CW-produced show, and thus, we do not include ratings from The CW for Season 1. Season 2 of Stargirl was a The CW-produced show, and thus, we do include ratings from The CW for Season 2. You say, "We only include ratings from the respective season's original broadcaster" but who invented that rule? You are being uncompromising which is bad for Wikipedia. If we didn't limit much info for television series to original broadcasters, you'd have editors trying to add ratings for the episode when it aired on its UK broadcaster, New Zealand broadcaster, Indian broadcaster, etc. That's overkill. Simultaneous releases aren't relevant; the series was not produced by The CW in its first season. Besides, it was far from simultaneous; as seen on TFC, episodes were released at 9am on DC Universe, and then later broadcast by The CW at 8pm the same night, that's a difference of eleven hours. -- Alex_21 TALK 02:14, 22 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

name consistencies[edit]

In the plot summaries, why are we calling Sportsmaster "Lawrence" and his wife "Brooks"? No one on the show calls him Lawrence .. he should be called Crusher as that is what the characters call him and "Brooks" should be called Paula as that is what she usually is called on the show and most other characters go by their first names in the summaries. Also Starman should be called Sylvester to keep with the standard instead of Pemberton. It just seems really inconsistent with the way it currently is being done. I'm cool with this. Those naming conventions were established by whoever wrote the first season summaries (not me, I've only written the back half of the second) when it wasn't clear if characters like Sylvester or Crusher would continue to appear in future seasons; I kept them for consistency, but you're right about the standards. Brec Bassinger was cast that September, with additional castings for her family members... You don't say "that" before a date. I understand not wanting to say In January 2019 and then in March 2019 however you have to use the correct format. Additionally you don't pluralize casting or phrase the latter section in that way. Johns brought his experience working on the films Wonder Woman (2017), Aquaman (2018), and Shazam (2019) to help the series have visuals not "seen in superhero shows before". You would never see outlets and papers say an individual brought their experience to help something. You might see them say that a production benefited from having them or their acumen and experience.
