Ar-Raqqah Governorate → Al-Raqqah Governorate — Ar-Raqqah Governorate → Al-Raqqah Governorate — "Al" is the definite article in the Arabic language, he who created this page obviously can not read arabic and merged it together with the name — Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 19:32, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

• In Arabic it is written --l-r-- in unvowelled writing, --lr₂-- in vowelled writing with a shadda sign, and pronounced --rr--. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 21:26, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
