Suwannabhumi TV, also known as Suwannabhumi Channel (Thai: สถานีสุวรรณภูมิ) and formerly known as ASTV 5 Suwannabhumi TV or ASTV 5 Suwannabhumi Channel (Thai: ช่อง ASTV 5 สุวรรณภูมิ), is a Thai news television channel owned by TV Topnotch Production Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of TPI Polene Public Company Limited. The channel made its trial broadcast on August 15, 2006, and officially started broadcasting on September 1, 2006. It was originally a channel on ASTV satellite provider until 2008 when it was split from ASTV and became an independent channel on its own under the ownership of TPI Polene.[1]
