Sadig Gurbanov (Sadiq Haqverdi oğlu Qurbanov; born on July 12, 1972, in Alikli, Ilich district) is a candidate of technical sciences. Member of the New Azerbaijan Party, deputy of the 6th Meeting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan (2020).[1][2]
Biography[edit]
Sadik Gurbanov was born on July 12, 1972, in the Alekli village of Sharur district of Nakhchivan. He graduated from Arabyengica village secondary school in 1989 and entered the Baku State University Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics in the same year. After completing his education in 1994, he became a doctoral student at the same faculty and also worked as a laboratory assistant in the department of "Theoretical Mechanics and Mechanics of the Whole Environment". In 2005, he defended his candidate's thesis and received the title of candidate of technical sciences. He studied at BSU Faculty of Law between 1997 and 2001. Between 2001 and 2004, upon the invitation of the National People's Congress, he studied at the "State and Municipal Administration" Faculty of the Public Administration Academy affiliated with the President.
He is married and has two children.
Career[edit]
- Between 1999 and 2006, he served as the "Head of the Inter-Party Relations Department" at YAP Executive Secretariat. In 2010, AR worked as head of the control sector in the "Department of poverty issues and targeted social assistance policy" of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population. He worked as a senior lecturer in the "Economic Law" department at the University of Economics. He also serves as the vice chairman of the "Republican Union Committee of Oil and Gas Industry Workers of the Republic of Azerbaijan". He is the co-author of 11 scientific articles in the field of mechanics and mathematics, 15 scientific works in the field of law and the book "Commentary on Labor Law".
- On February 9, 2020, he was elected as a member of parliament from the New Azerbaijan Party Shabran-Siyazan Constituency No. 54.
- New Azerbaijan Party VII. He was elected as a member of the YAP Board of Directors at the Congress (March 5, 2021).
- Chairman of the Natural Resources, Energy and Ecology Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the working group on Azerbaijan-Mauritania interparliamentary relations.[3][4][5]
