Prabha Mallikarjun (Kannada: ಪ್ರಭಾ ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಾರ್ಜುನ; born 15 March 1976) is an Indian politician from Davanagere in Karnataka. She won the 2024 Indian general election in Karnataka and entered the Lok Sabha from Karnataka on Indian National Congress ticket.[1][2][3]

Early life[edit]

She is a Dentist by qualification, and an Healthcare activist. She is the wife of S. S. Mallikarjun, who is the Minister of Mines & Geology and Horticulture in Government of Karnataka; and daughter in law of veteran congress leader Shamanuru Shivashankarappa, a former Minister and incumbent Member of the Legislative Assembly from Davanagere South Assembly Constituency.[4]

Career[edit]

She won from Davanagere in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections representing Indian National Congress party. Winning the Davanagere Lok Sabha constituency,[5] she defeated Gayithri Siddeshwara of BJP.[1][2]
