The Organisation of Communist Internationalists (Russian: Организация Коммунистов Интернационалистов, romanized: Organizatsiya Kommunistov Internatsionalistov; OKI) is a Trotskyist organization in Russia, created in May 2023 as a result of the merger of Marxist Tendency (the Russian section of the International Marxist Tendency) with the communist organisation the New Reds (Russian: Новые красные, romanized: Novyye krasnyye; NK).[1] According to its own statements, the OKI has the goal of creating a revolutionary vanguard cadre party.
The OKI is the section of the International Marxist Tendency in Russia. IMT is a Trotskyist political International which is active in more in 40 countries.
The movements which merged in 2023 into the OKI participated in the 2021 protests[2][3][4] and the 2022 anti-war protests,[5][6] and also condemned the intervention of the CSTO forces in protest-ridden Kazakhstan.[7]
OKI after its establishment began to organise public events in Saint Petersburg, Moscow and other cities. The aim was to agitate the sympathisers of former Marxist Tendency and New Reds to join the newly formed organisation and to tell about the merger and the International Marxist Tendency.[8][9]
