Description
English: This photograph was taken by me at the the Mahadeva Temple at Itagi (or Ittagi) in the Koppal district of Karnataka state, India. Called Devalaya Chakravarti ("emperor among temples") in inscriptions It was built circa 1112 CE by Mahadeva, a commander (dandanayaka) in the army of the Western (Kalyani) Chalukya King Vikramaditya VI.
