Fulham announced a tour of the United States to take part in the Premier League Summer Series pre-season tournament with matches against Brentford, Aston Villa and Chelsea.[46] On 12 July, a home pre-season friendly against 1899 Hoffenheim was confirmed.[47]

As a Premier League side, Fulham entered in the third round, and were drawn at home to Rotherham United.[57] They were then drawn at home to Newcastle United in the fourth round.[58][59]

EFL Cup[edit]

Fulham entered the competition in the second round, and were drawn at home to Tottenham Hotspur.[60] They were then drawn at home to Norwich City in the third round,[61] away to Ipswich Town in the fourth round,[62] and away to Everton in the quarter-finals.[63] In the two-legged semi-finals, they were drawn against Liverpool.[64][65]
