The 2009 Western Bulldogs season was the club's 84th since their introduction to the AFL in 1925.

Season summary[edit]

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs had a busy start to the 2023 NRL season, making two trips to Western Australia in the first four rounds. They first faced the Perth-based West Coast Eagles in Round 1, and then traveled to Mandurah to take on the Fremantle Dockers in Round 4.

After their two trips to Western Australia, the Bulldogs played three games at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). They first faced the Melbourne Storm in Round 5, and then played the Sydney Roosters and the Brisbane Broncos in Rounds 6 and 7, respectively.

The Bulldogs also played a home game in Canberra against the Sydney Roosters in Round 8, and a home game in Darwin against the Port Adelaide Power in Round 10.

The Bulldogs' busy start to the season was a sign of things to come. They finished the regular season in second place on the ladder, and then went on to win the Grand Final against the Penrith Panthers.
