1890 Luxembourg general election

From Wikipedia the free encyclopedia

Partial general elections were held in Luxembourg on 10 June 1893, electing members of the Chamber of Deputies. The elections took place in Echternach, Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg-Campagne, Mersch, Remich, and Wiltz.

Under the election law at the time, any second-round run-off votes took place on the same day as the first round.[1][2][3]

The elections saw the failure of the anti-clerical side's Brasseur and Laval to secure seats, while in the clerical bloc, Knaff and Wolter were defeated; many of the clerical side's new candidates also failed to secure election.[1]
