Victoria United Football Club was a Scottish football team that played in the city of Aberdeen.

History[edit]

It was formed in 1889 and dissolved on 14 April 1903 when it merged with Aberdeen and Orion to form the current Aberdeen F.C.[1]

Victoria won one Northern League championship, in 1898. It also won the Rhodesia Cup, 1899–1900 and 1902–03 (contested between the three senior Aberdeen clubs: Aberdeen, Orion and Victoria United).[2] Not all of the players and fans moved over to the new combine, six of the players joining the newly-senior Bon Accord, and some of the supporters followed suit.[3]

Colours[edit]

The club originally played in light blue shirts and dark blue shorts and socks .[4]

Ground[edit]

The club originally played at the Recreation Grounds in Aberdeen.[5] In 1894 it moved to Victoria Bridge.[6]

1. Players that have played/managed in the Scottish Football League or any foreign equivalent to this level (i.e. fully professional league).
2. Players with full international caps.
