Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Yolanda Retter, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:30, 22 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello RachelWex. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Yolanda Retter".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Yolanda Retter}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 02:00, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Yolanda Retter, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Pasadena and Silver Lake. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Hello, I'm Wikiisawesome. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to Ricky Martin— because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. /wia /talk 15:18, 11 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There's a section about Ricky Martin's sexuality here in the article; so I think per WP:MOSLEAD that his sexuality doesn't need to be in the lede. /wia /talk 15:21, 11 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 23:22, 11 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Wiki Loves Pride Minnesota requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Wiki Loves Pride 2016[edit]

As a participant of WikiProject LGBT studies, you are invited to participate in the third annual Wiki Loves Pride campaign, which runs through the month of June. The purpose of the campaign is to create and improve content related to LGBT culture and history. How can you help?

  1. Create or improve LGBT-related Wikipedia pages and showcase the results of your work here
  2. Document local LGBT culture and history by taking pictures at pride events and uploading your images to Wikimedia Commons
  3. Contribute to an LGBT-related task force at another Wikimedia project (Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, Wikivoyage, etc.)

Looking for topics? The Tasks page, which you are welcome to update, offers some ideas and wanted articles.

This campaign is supported by the Wikimedia LGBT+ User Group, an officially recognized affiliate of the Wikimedia Foundation. The group's mission is to develop LGBT-related content across all Wikimedia projects, in all languages. Visit the affiliate's page at Meta-Wiki for more information, or follow Wikimedia LGBT+ on Facebook. Remember, Wiki Loves Pride is about creating and improving LGBT-related content at Wikimedia projects, and content should have a neutral point of view. One does not need to identify as LGBT or any other gender or sexual minority to participate. This campaign is about adding accurate, reliable information to Wikipedia, plain and simple, and all are welcome! If you have any questions, please leave a message on the campaign's talk page.

Thanks, and happy editing! ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:40, 30 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Event listing[edit]

Hello, thanks for creating this event listing! I hope this event goes well. Just a recommendation - when you create an event like this, it's best to add it to the calendar template. This allows people to find and track it, and also will likely increase the likelihood of remote support from experienced contributors who can correct mistakes on pages created and give feedback to new contributors. Hope this is helpful to you, let me know if any thoughts or questions. Blythwood (talk) 13:50, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi Blythwood, how are you doing? Could you tell me how to create a calendar template for April, May, June, and July 2017? I have a Wikipedia event in April and one in July. Thanks!

RachelWex 14:20, 10 February 2017 (UTC)

  • Hi - I'm afraid it's a bit clunky for starting a new month, but when you've got the event pages created and specific firm dates, I'd go here for April and here for July and copy the code out of here. Or put a message on my talk page if you're still stuck. Blythwood (talk) 21:33, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Categories[edit]

Hello, please ensure that when you add an article to a category, that category is supported in the article text with statements with citations to reliable sources. For example, you added Sammy Haggar to Category:Jewish heavy metal musicians. There is no sourced statement in the article indicating he is Jewish, so this in an incorrect use of categories. Please let me know if you have any questions. --Spike Wilbury (talk) 17:25, 30 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2017 election voter message[edit]

Hello, RachelWex. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

LGBTIQ wikipermanences in Geneva[edit]

Hi Rachel, you had reached out to know if anyone was working on LGBTIQ issues on the francophone wiki. I have started a collaboration for wikipermancences in Lestime, a local LGBT association in Geneva. I hope we will be able to produce useful content around the history of feminism and LGBTIQ in Switzerland. --Nattes à chat (talk) 21:01, 5 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Nattes à chat (talk) That is great news! Do you all plan on having an edit-a-thon? We can promote it, along with any photos from the event and kudos to people who have created and edited content, on @wikilgbt. Keep me posted! RachelWex 14:45, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

#1lib1ref[edit]

Hi RachelWex! Thanks for being active in efforts like #1lib1ref. Just one suggestion, you could have your edit summaries use [[meta:The Wikipedia Library/1Lib1Ref|#1lib1ref]] so it appears as a link, too: #1lib1ref.

Keep up the great work! = paul2520 (talk) 20:10, 16 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for January 21[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Education about the Holocaust, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Kurdish genocide and Intolerance (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:30, 21 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:A Wider Bridge[edit]

Hello, RachelWex. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "A Wider Bridge".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 22:01, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Noon to 4 pm.

Hi RachelWex! Thanks for starting the article on Emma Jane Gay. It's GREAT. I just added an infobox, as I found a photo of her on the Commons. Was curious if you had given thought to nominating the article for a Did you know... I think it's in great shape, and meets the length & newness requirements. Plus we can try to get it to use the photo (though if we find a photo she took, that would be fab). If you'd like, I can help and/or nominate the article myself. = paul2520 (talk) 22:19, 18 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
