Aboh Page

[edit]

Hello, I did NOT use any LLM model for my draft and the citations are there I just didn’t overload them on one paragraph. Why did you reject my draft? 206.176.151.163 (talk) 16:06, 18 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

There are signs when LLM is used and your text fits all of them. More importantly, every sentence in the article need to be sources before I even attempt to go through the draft to evaluate if it is suitable for inclusion. Thus this was a quick rejection. This is not a comment on the importance of the topic but rather the quality if your work. Let me know if you need help to identify reliable sources. You can also use Help:Your first article. Happy editing. FuzzyMagma (talk) 16:14, 18 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
There are no signs of LLM. I didn’t use one at all, the citations were spaced out as to not overuse them for one section, so that is a very confusing response, LLM uses generic language, and wouldn’t go into specific detail like I did. Is there an admin I can talk to about this ? 206.176.151.163 (talk) 16:27, 18 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
you can use WP:ANI if you have a complain, or go to WP:NPP for a 2nd opinion. FuzzyMagma (talk) 16:38, 18 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much for improving the page! I really appreciate it. 206.176.151.163 (talk) 16:47, 19 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Declined PRODs

[edit]

Hi, I have a lot of respect for your contributions and wanted to address a point I saw you make in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Isaac Seatile. On Wikipedia, PRODs can be declined for any reason or no reason at all; see WP:DEPROD. There doesn't ever have to be any improvement made to the page or even a P&G-based justification, anyone is allowed to remove the tag.

For Olympians from countries where systemic biases impact the amount of coverage available to us, it's generally better to let the process play itself through so that people have a week to find coverage. Ping me if you have any questions. Thanks, --Habst (talk) 18:28, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Habst for your reply but I am sure you also understand why the PROD process is in place rather than AfD each and every article.
Don't get me wrong, I see the value in what you do, and how you trying relentlessly to save these articles by continuing to improve them and you have saved few, but I am sure even you understand that some of these articles absolutely doesn’t meet notability criteria and sometimes the article doesn’t actually serve a unique purpose. I completely understand the argument for WP:Preserve but these need to stand on something.
Nonetheless, I apologise if my comment upset you and sorry for putting you on the spot. You are right, according to policies you are entitled to declined each and every PROD.
take care. FuzzyMagma (talk) 03:36, 22 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You are fine, I'm not upset by your comment at all and appreciate your work. The issue from my perspective is that there is no way to tell if an Olympian is notable without spending a week or two looking for sources. If there was a way to confirm that a topic is for sure not notable, I would not remove the PROD, but from my perspective there is no way to tell until the AfD runs its course. --Habst (talk) 15:32, 22 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Syrian literature for Vital articles, level 5

[edit]

Hi, do you want to support this nomination? Thanks, Munfarid1 (talk) 20:20, 26 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, how are you doing. I saw your amazing work every now and then. Stay healthy and take care FuzzyMagma (talk) 16:29, 27 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your support and continued interest. - As you might have seen, I have been writing about 19th-century photographers in Africa, a worthwhile field for me. This also gives me a chance to present their images in galleries w/out copyright issues. :) History provides some relief of contemporary depressing developments in our mistreated world. - Was happy to nominate poor Fatima Hassouna for DYK, however, that received 18.000 visits. - Hope you are enjoying life and your continued interests. Cheers, Munfarid1 (talk) 18:23, 27 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
may she rest in peace. I saw the nom and saw her work. An amazing life that was taken from this world.
You did great work, and uploaded some amazing images.
I am too focusing more in understanding how Sudan end-up here (again and again). But it is really depressing anywhere you look. Maybe I should try lighter topics.
On a positive note, I am looking for a cultural topic to tackle, so I would appreciate any recommendations. FuzzyMagma (talk) 18:40, 27 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You work actually led me to this article (lost track how I ended up there but started with Walther Dobbertin) and it is a really funny article. FuzzyMagma (talk) 18:45, 27 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, this really is funny. With your wide-ranging interests, not surprised you read German, too.
On another issue: Are you interested in using this for WP? https://www.dabangasudan.org/en/all-news/article/sudan-media-forum-condemns-proposed-press-law-amendments-calls-for-independent-media
Take a good rest and looking forward to reading your articles soon. Munfarid1 (talk) 06:25, 5 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
