EF Education First history rewrite[edit]
Thank you for reviewing the rewrite I proposed of the EF Education First history section. Could I ask for some examples of the sources you see as problematic? I tried to follow the guidelines and feel like these sources are as good as those of the history sections of other similar-sized education companies' articles like Kaplan,_Inc. and Pearson_plc, but would be happy to try and address the issues you've found. - Hello, and I rejected your request because it triggered an edit filter warning users about use of self published/blog references. I just wanted to double check if you're aware of the policy regarding that. ABG (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 11:20, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I'd understood that company/employee blogs and other company webpages could be cited in a limited way for factual information like dates or office locations https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:ABOUTSELF. Is that a misunderstanding on my part? That type of information is not cited in the press, and removing those sentences will make the history section less coherent, but I will edit them out if necessary to comply with the guidelines. K8bell (talk) 15:44, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
- You don't have to edit them out on that case. I was just checking. ABG (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 02:38, 10 June 2024 (UTC)

Question from Lord rene rosier (07:41, 10 June 2024)[edit]
hello is my page viewable to the community if not how can it be --Lord rene rosier (talk) 07:41, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
- Woah there, Wikipedia isn't a web hosting service, and making pages like those you have created will lead you into being blocked from editing. Have you tried other sites instead of treating Wikipedia as social media? ABG (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 10:50, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
H.B. Fuller request[edit]

Question from Gr8tergood on Draft:List of Indigenous Australians with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) (13:31, 15 June 2024)[edit]
Hello! I want to create a list page using a template. The title will be List of Indigenous Australians with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Could you help walk me through. Where I insert the template from? And the difference between index list page and list page. thanks --Gr8tergood (talk) 13:31, 15 June 2024 (UTC)
- @Gr8tergood, Just checking: Are you sure that the list is notable enough to merit its own list, with significant coverage? ABG (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 14:33, 15 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hi thanks for getting back to me. I think so. For example there are said to be about 400-500 Indigenous Phd ppl. This article (link below) has given me about 10 names. There will be data on Austrlian beaureu of statistics - census and news articles about leading drs to cite. What are your thoughts mate?

- Just a single concern: The link you gave me is published in 2014. Isn't there a newer version? ABG (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 14:55, 15 June 2024 (UTC)
- No, I have contacted the journalist that wrote it and asked him if he would write a new article. I could also contact the Koori Mail an Independent Indigenous News place and see if they will write about these Phd Scholars. Some of them are featured elsewhere more recently. I'm just making the list for now of names based on 1 reference then can dig deeper. For instance this guy graduated this year;
- but I found his name via an older news article that said he was a current phd student then I search and find he's now completed.
- Also, some of the people in the list were 'firsts' ie. first Aboriginal person to get a phd, first Torres Strait Islander woman etc. Gr8tergood (talk) 15:13, 15 June 2024 (UTC)

My Megamind Edit Request[edit]
Thanks for fulfilling my request, but you forgot that Megamind Rules is mentioned twice. This is the section that you missed:
"It later spawned a franchise including three games, and a short film titled Megamind: The Button of Doom, which was released on February 25, 2011, with the film's DVD and Blu-ray. A sequel film, Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate, and follow-up series Megamind Rules! premiered on Peacock on March 1, 2024."
Anyway, ty! 2603:6010:8B00:44FF:590:539E:5CC5:8241 (talk) 01:25, 21 June 2024 (UTC)

June 2024[edit]
Please familiarize yourself with MOS:LEAD before commenting on other users talk page.
"As a general rule of thumb, a lead section should contain no more than four well-composed paragraphs and be carefully sourced as appropriate, although it is common for citations to appear in the body and not the lead."
In other words, if the body contains sourced information, a source in the lede is optional.
Question from ArchiverOrgan (06:37, 22 June 2024)[edit]
Hi, It's been bugging me for years that there's inaccurate information on a particular magazine series. I started a "talk" on the specific page, but I'm not sure it will be seen. --ArchiverOrgan (talk) 06:37, 22 June 2024 (UTC)
- Because that page is not protected, why not be bold and fix it yourself? (Although if you are requesting that the file name be changed due to factual errors, there is a better chance to receive attention if you seek help at the talk page of WP:MAG.) However, in Wikipedia, editors are required to link most claims with a reliable source, and your edit to File talk:Juggs August 1981.jpg doesn't have any. ABG (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 11:20, 22 June 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for the pointers. I'm new to this so I'll check out the beginners guide and stuff. The reliable source I have is the actual issue itself. But also one sold on Mercari recently (not sure if that counts). ArchiverOrgan (talk) 05:12, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
Question from Radhesh ranvijay (08:34, 22 June 2024)[edit]
hello how do i check my days ? --Radhesh ranvijay (talk) 08:34, 22 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, I don't really get what you meant by "my days", so I'll do a quick guess:
- If you want to see how long have your account existed, it's below your username on your user talk page.
- Hope this helps, if you were trying to ask something else please reply to this message. ABG (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 11:22, 22 June 2024 (UTC)
